Welcome to Bonza Eventing! Established by Matt Ryan OAM, a triple Olympic gold medallist. Matt's expertise extends from starting horses under saddle to achieving 5-star triumphs. His global acclaim spans over three decades, marked by victories and numerous top 10 finishes at prestigious 5-star events like Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials. In 2000, Matt was inducted into the Australian Sport Hall of Fame.

Throughout his career, he relentlessly pursued his number one goal – representing and winning medals for his country. Today, Matt focuses on nurturing the skills of riders to reach elite levels. He wants more Gold for Australia in Brisbane 2032 and is passionate about developing riders to achieve their dreams. Bonza Eventing is now based in Queensland near Laidley, where Matt and his wife Zoe offer lessons, training, and spelling. Matt continues to travel to coach the next generation of riding talents in clinics and lessons around Australia. Matt caters for horses and riders from just starting out in competitive sports to 5* riders.

Matt also actively contributes to the Equestrian Canada High-Performance Group, inspiring and advising committee and team riders to enhance their performances. In addition to coaching, Matt's engaging commentary captivates audiences with his extensive knowledge of sports, horses, riders, and breeding.
